How I Book Cheap Hotels in Munich on Booking.com: My Personal Tips for Free Cancellation
 |
My recommended budget hotels near Munich Central Station from €40/night on Booking.com |
Munich: After traveling to Munich 3 times in last year, I have learned how to find the cheapest hotels on Booking.com. Many travelers from Bangladesh overpay. Here is my personal guide with real experience.
1. My First Step: Always Filter Free Cancellation
I always book hotels on Booking.com with "Free Cancellation" filter. Last time I booked B&B Hotel Munich for €42/night and cancelled 48 hours before arrival without any fee. This is safest for Bangladeshi travelers who book early.
2. Best Area to Stay in Munich on Budget
Do not book near Marienplatz, it's very expensive. I stay near Munich Central Station (München Hbf). Hotels are from €40-€55, and S-Bahn connection to airport is direct. I personally stayed in MEININGER Hotel - clean and cheap.
3. How to Get Genius Discount 10-15% Off
After 2 bookings on Booking.com, I got Genius Level 1. Now I get automatic 10% discount. It's free, just create an account and login before searching. This saved me over €80 in last 2 trips.
Travel Tip: Book Flight First, Then Hotel
For my Germany trips, I always follow this order: First I check cheap domestic flights from Berlin to Munich, then I book my hotel in Munich for those dates. This saves me up to 30% total cost.
If you are planning Berlin to Munich travel this month, domestic flight fares are currently very low, starting from €29 according to live data.
